DISTRIBUTION
The gene bank supports national research systems, partners, and farmers through the distribution of germplasm, helping to increase diversity and actively promote the use of plant genetic resources for research, pre-breeding, education, and agriculture.
Distribution involves providing germplasm samples in response to user requests, following current regional and international frameworks such as:
- The Multilateral System of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA)
- Decision 391 of the Common Regime on Access to Genetic Resources of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN)
- The Nagoya Protocol of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
